This is Shizuoka Prefecture’s famous rapeseed flower spot!
Here, you can enjoy not only rapeseed flowers but also Kawazu cherry blossoms, attracting many visitors from all over the world every year.
Normally, rapeseed flowers bloom from March to April in the Kanto region, but in this region, the weather is a little warmer,
so they bloom together with the Kawazu cherry blossoms, which are at their best from late February to early March.
Every year at this time, food stalls are set up and the area is bustling with activity.
I visited a few years ago, and it’s a popular spot for mom photographers like me.
There are lots of people taking pictures of their kids dressed up in cute outfits.

This is a famous spot for rapeseed flowers in Saitama Prefecture.
It’s a little far from the station, so you’ll need a car, but it’s still well worth the trip.
The best time to see them is from late March to early April, when you can enjoy the combination of the flowers with Japan’s famous Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms.
Admission is free, so if you’re interested, be sure to check it out.
Hama-Rikyu Gardens

Address: 1-1 Hama-Rikyu Gardens, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 104-0046

This relatively large field of rapeseed flowers is located within Tokyo.
The surrounding area is filled with the large buildings typical of urban areas, but this field, nestled quietly in the middle of them, is very charming.
It’s easily accessible, within walking distance of the station, and is close to Tokyo Station, making it a recommended spot for those who want to enjoy the rapeseed flowers casually.
