Tobu Asakusa Station Toilets: Location, Cleanliness, and Tips for Visitors
One of the first things many people worry about after arriving in Asakusa is finding a toilet.
This is especially true for international travelers, as station layouts and rules in Japan may feel unfamiliar.
Many visitors wonder, “Where is the toilet?”
In this article, I’ll explain where the toilets at Tobu Asakusa Station are located and what it was like to actually use them, based on my own experience.
After reading this, you should feel much more comfortable about finding a toilet when you arrive in Asakusa.
Where Are the Toilets at Tobu Asakusa Station?
The toilets at Tobu Asakusa Station are located right outside the ticket gates.
After exiting the gates, you will see stairs going down in front of you.
Do not go down the stairs—simply turn around, and you will find the toilets shown in the photo.
They are located less than 30 seconds from the ticket gates, making them very easy to find.

My Experience Using the Toilets
Overall, the toilets were quite clean.
There was almost no unpleasant smell, and I felt comfortable using them.
However, the space is not very large, and the number of stalls is limited.
When I used the toilet, there were a few people waiting in line.
There is one multipurpose (accessible) toilet located between the men’s and women’s toilets.
Some station toilets in Tokyo can feel dirty or poorly maintained, but in my opinion, this toilet at Asakusa Station was well cared for.
Can You Use the Toilet with a Suitcase or Children?
Using the toilet with children should not be a problem.
You can bring a suitcase inside, but the space is quite limited.
If you are traveling with family or friends, it may be easier to ask someone to wait outside with your luggage.
Using a stroller inside the toilet area may be difficult due to the limited space.
Things to Know Before You Go
I used the toilet around noon.
There was a short line, but the wait was not long.
Toilet paper was fully stocked, and the toilets appeared to be checked and cleaned regularly, so you can use them with confidence.
