Once you pass through the ticket gate,
you’re already on the right path toward Sensoji Temple.

The Shortest Route to Sensoji Temple

This route is ideal if you want to reach Sensoji Temple as quickly as possible.

Step-by-step directions
1. Tobu Asakusa Station is located above ground.

After exiting the ticket gate, you will see stairs directly in front of you.
Go down the stairs.

2. At the bottom of the stairs, turn right.

3. You will see a large pedestrian crossing.

Cross the street.

4. After crossing, you’ll find a drugstore called Sundrug.

Walk straight ahead with the drugstore on your left.

5. Continue walking for a short distance until you reach Nakamise Street.

6. On your right, you’ll notice a shop with a large strawberry-shaped lantern.

Turn right at this point, and simply walk straight ahead.

From here, Sensoji Temple is directly in front of you.

The Classic Route via Kaminarimon (Recommended for First-Time Visitors)
