I took some photos at some recommended spots in Asakusa!

Today I spoke to some tourists in Asakusa and took some photos.

I’ve been a photographer in Japan for four years now, and until now I’ve only taken requests from people living in the country, but in the future I’d like to take photos for inbound tourists as well.

Since I couldn’t speak any English, I wrote down the English sentences I would use at home in a notebook and spoke to them with a pounding heart.

“Excuse me? Do you speak English?”

I was very happy that everyone responded to my broken English with a smile.

It was windy that day and there were many Japanese students there, but the winter air was very clear and refreshing.

Here are some photos I took.

Thank you for letting me take your photo despite the sudden request.

If I could speak English better, I could tell you about lots of great places in Japan…

It’s very frustrating that I can’t do that.

It would be more fun if I could speak English better.

With that in mind, I started using an app called Duolingo yesterday.

The other day, when I was drinking with some mom friends at an izakaya, someone said they were using this app to help their kids learn English, and since it’s apparently free to use, I decided to give it a try too!

Even if you can’t speak English well, if you use this app and get into the habit of speaking in English, I believe that after about a year you will be able to have a conversation to a certain extent.

Also, since yesterday, I’ve been trying to write one article in English on my blog every day! I’m using a translation app though 🤣

I believe that persistence is power!

If you can speak English, traveling abroad will be much more fun!

Now, while writing this blog, I have a goal! That is to be able to speak English and be able to communicate with local people in English when I travel abroad!

Please support us!! 🤍

Thank you for reading this far! Tomorrow I will write a blog introducing Asakusa gourmet food! There are lots of delicious sweets in Japan, so I hope you will find it useful!
